Our lab studies CD8 T cell differentiation and function. T cell subsets within the spleen and in vitro are generally defined by CD44 and CD62L surface expression. To identify these subsets, I profile CD8 T cells for these markers to define either naive (CD62LHiCD44lo) and central memory (CD62LHiCD44Hi). This marker is really important to differentiate between these subsets.
