I use this kit to isolate RNA from mouse tissue. The kit works very well, as I'm able to generate good quality RNA in less than 2 hours. The protocol is fairly straightforward, and all reagents are provided (except Trizol).

Mouse tissue
Snap freeze tissue in liquid nitrogen. Grind tissue with mortar and pestle, and put into trizol. Continue RNA isolation as per kit instructions.
Follow the kit instructions.
With this kit I always obtain good quality RNA with minimal issues.
