Our lab is interested in studying the T cells that are involved in the clearance of mouse influenza virus. In order to study their effector functions, we need an antibody that clearly marks the effector T cells without spilling over. Since we expect there to be an abundance of CD44+ cells in our sample, we wanted a relatively dim antibody and this one works great.

Cells were stained in 100uL FACS buffer with antibody at 1:100; for 1 hour on ice and in the dark. Cells were washed with FACS buffer and run in 100uL FACS buffer.

Using this antibody we are able to identify CD44+ cells without seeing spillover.
