Company:

Promega

Product Name:

CytoTox-ONE™ Homogeneous Membrane Integrity Assay

Catalog Number:

G7891

We selected this kit to measure the release of Lactate DeHydrogenase in medium to easily check the viability of cell cultures and organotypic brain cultures.

Experimental Design and Results Summary

Application

Viability test measured by fluorescence

Starting Material

Culture media

Protocol Overview

The kit allows us to measure membrane leakage of cells and organotypic cultures exposed to toxins. It is important to set up correctly the temperature of the test as suggested by the company because, on the contrary, the results could change. Pay attention to drugs/toxins that could interfere with the fluorescence.

Tips

Temperature and possible interference with fluorescence

Results Summary

The kit gave us good values in term of fluorescence, with high repeatability.
