Mouse Monoclonal Antibody Isotyping Kit

The general area of research is in immunology. This product is ideal for those making a lot of monoclonal antibodies. It is especially designed for hybridoma supernatants and purified monoclonal antibodies. While best used to test the isotype of a single antibody, I have also used Antagen's test strips to determine the relative distribution of the main isotypes in a sample of ascites fluid. The strips can test IgG1,IgG2a, IgG2b and IgG3, κ, λ, IgA and IgM. While ELISA can be used to test antibody isoptype, my lab switched to using Antagen's test strips because it speeds up the process by many folds. These kits are also relatively inexpensive ($15) as similar strips from other companies can cost over $30+ test. They also have worked on every antibody I have tested. Antagen also has a wide distribution of different Antibody test strips on antagen.net based on how many different isotypes you want to test for. For example, the ISO-M8Ac tests for IgG1, IgG2a, IgG2b, IgG2c, IgG3, IgM, κ and λ.
