Company:

Biolegend

Product Name:

Purified anti-P2RY12 Antibody

Catalog Number:

848002 (clone S16007D)

We applied Biolegend's purified anti-P2RY12 antibody to vibratome-sliced fixed mouse brain tissues. Comparison of the immunofluorescent staining with signal from CX3CR1-GFP mice further confirmed coverage and specificity.

Results Summary

This Ab yielded highly specific and intense signal in microglia in vibratome-sliced fixed brain tissue in mice. The microglial specificity of the Ab staining was further confirmed by co-localization with CX3CR1-GFP signal. Furthermore, at all slice thicknesses tested, Ab penetration was not a limiting factor to depth of imaging.

Summary

The Good

Fantastic marker for microglia in mouse

The Bad

Purified Ab is more expensive, and may not be worth it for some assays.

The Bottom Line

This Ab gave us great immunofluorescence results, with low background and high quality staining of even the most minute microglial processes.
