We primarily use this pipette to dispense liquid for PCR reactions. Occasionally, I use it's mix function to pipette liquid up and down in a particularly hard to break up pellet. The main benefit to using an electronic pipette is to save on hand and shoulder stress when pipetting repetitive amounts like with a PCR reaction or when mixing. This product was selected because of easy to use functions and universal tip size.

Summary

The Good

Dispensing is at a push of a button, not joystick. The dial at the top allows for easy switching for different modes. There are more options hidden beneath the menus but the dial makes it easier and more convenient. The pipette is light and easy on the hand. Fits universal tips.

The Bad

It is easy to scroll past the desired volume. Holding down the button jumps at larger intervals.

The Bottom Line

Your best companion when doing many repetitive PCR reactions. Easy to use and the charge lasts a long time.
