This is an excellent instrument with nice flexibility for various experiments. The range of fluorescence intensity that the instrument can detect works for even very bright fluors like ZsGreen. The peristaltic pump allows us to do absolute cell counts, very handy. The system and software are very easy to use. The instrument works very well, and will normally pass QC without any issues.
Flow Cytometry
Collect blood or other tissue and prepare a cell suspension. Following RBC lysis, cells are blocked with Fc Block, then stained with fluorescently conjugated antibodies for various cell markers. To examine intracellular targets such as transcription factors, cells can be fixed and permeabilized. Wash cells and run on cytometer.
Many standard protocols will work well with this machine.
