My goal is to determine whether there is a differential expression of key genes in a mouse model of multiple sclerosis. I used this kit to extract RNA from mouse brains for qRT-PCR analysis of specific genes.

Mouse Brain Cells
I followed the manufacturers instructions. Cells were homogenized and 70% ethanol was added. The mixture was then transferred to the mini column provided and centrifuged. The column was washed 2X with wash buffer and the RNA eluted with DEPC water.
Ensure that the column is dry before elution and heat the water to 70 degrees
I obtained more than 2ug/ml of RNA per sample
