Product Name:

Finnpipette F2 (100 to 1000μL) single channel pipette

Catalog Number:

I work in the molecular biology lab where I need to dispense liquids in minute volumes like in microliters. Some assays needs dispensation of less than 200 microliters with precision in volume. I found Finnpipette F2 (100 to 1000 microliter) from ThermoFisher is ideal in dispensing liquids/buffers and with variation only of +/- 0.5%. Moreover this pipette is light weight and ergonomic to use.

Experimental Design and Results Summary

Application

Handling and dispensing liquids in molecular biology lab

Starting Material

1000 microliters HT1 buffer for NGS sample preparation

Protocol Overview

Using ThermoFisher Finnpipette F2 (100 to 1000 microliter volume), dispense 999 microliter HT1 Buffer hybridisation buffer to prepare 20 picomolar NGS library to a Eppendorf tube containing 1 microliter denatured sequencing DNA library. Mix well and load into Illumina sequencing platform. These type of applications require precision dispensing pipettes which does not cause huge variation in volume being dispensed. ThermoFisher Finnpipette F2 are the best in my experience for such type of liquid handling.

Tips

None

Results Summary

Very satisfactory dispensing of correct volume of liquid samples as required without variation in the volume being dispensed. Some of the tests being compared to check right quantity of DNA (as measured by Qubit Fluorimeter) after using this pipette corresponded to volumes being dispensed.
