In many cancers, to get a selective growth advantage, metabolism is the key.The recent finding revealed that these Bcat1 protein levels are high in many cancers. We are looking in to see how Bcat1 protein regulation in cancer cells is different than in normal cells. We are doing experiments by using promoter assays and by doing immunoblot analysis.
