This instrument is capable of handling many different sample types from glycans, protein, lipids and small molecules. Our lab has 3 mass spectrometers and while this is not the newest one, it's definitely the one I prefer to use. The data is reproducible and robust. The user interface is a bit tricky but is teachable. Would highly recommend.

Samples for this instrument are minimally processed. Major steps include C2 reverse phase chromatography, tripsin digest, followed by offline c18 peptide clean-up standard for most sample types.
Only inject clean samples, calibrate often
We find this product to be very useful for the many varied areas of research that happen in our lab at any given time. The instrument like any other mass spectrometer needs to be cared for such as routine calibration and preventive maintenance. That aside, it is a very user-friendly instrument, very reliable and for us has lasted many many years.
