Our lab has used PBL's IFN-b alpha for a couple months now and have had satisfactory results. Item is processed and shipped quickly on dry ice. The only complaint we would have is if they had a greater concentration available, such as a 1x106 vial.
Stimulatory reagent in growth media
Fresh human peripheral blood mononuclear cells isolated from a patient the day of the experiment/p>
Reagent was added to growth medium and incubated overnight at 37 degrees Celsius 5% CO2. Media was changed daily for 3 days, with 5,000 units of IFN-b added to the media each day.
Aliquot into working vials prior to use.
IFN-b added in large quantities to stimulated lymphocytes gave us the predicted result of decreasing the amount of proliferating T cells.
