The goal of these experiments was to detect GFP expressed by an adeno-associated viral vector. This product was selected because it could be used in combination with antibodies to detect other proteins that were grown in other species (mouse, rabbit, etc.). Frequently, we wanted to observe GFP expressing cells or fibers in an area known to express another protein, i.e. tyrosine hydroxylase.
