This kit can be used for the proceeding of serum sample preparation during the 2D gel electrophoresis. This kit can used to Alkylation the proteins that will give better results with IEF followed by gel electrophoresis. Further these gels can be stained properly and spot can be seen on the gels.

Overall protocol is good and takes very less time to alkylate proteins .
Always used fresh idoacetamide prior to use of this kit.
As expected rely were obtained after Alkylation of pritein and several 2D gel spots were detected on the gel after staining.
