I wanted to sequence total RNA from mouse cells so I wanted to remove ribosomal RNA. This kit was easy to use and gave great results.
Remove rRNA before RNA-Seq
Several types of mouse cells
First you heat and then cool your RNA and probe mixture to bind rRNA to their probes. Then you put on magnetic beads that pull the probes out of the solution.
Max out the RNA input
Works well, usually left with between 4-6% rRNA after sequencing.

If you want to remove rRNA before sequencing there aren't many cheap options, this kit at least works well and is easy to use.
