This is great for quickly counting cells in tissue culture. If you need to be very accurate, I would count twice as sometimes the numbers can vary quite a bit.

10ul of cells onto slide
Put 10ul of cells into slide and insert into machine
Count twice if you need to be very accurate. Also try to resuspend cells to a concentration in the middle of the operating range.
Works well for quick counts. The numbers sometimes vary a little bit, but for sensitive applications you can quickly count several times.
Can automatically detect live/dead with trypan blue
