Product Name:

BUV737 Mouse Anti-Human CD14

Catalog Number:

564445

The general aim of my research is to study the antigen-presenting potential of human monocyte-derived dendritic cells (moDCs). The goal of this particular experiment was to detect and enrich CD14+ cells from human peripheral blood. This specific product was used because of the fluorochome-conjugate, BUV737, which does not bleed into other channels (except slightly into PerCP/Cy5.5 and APC/Cy7).

Experimental Design and Results Summary

Applications

Flow Cytometry

Sample

Human peripheral blood

Primary Incubation

1:250, 20 mins, 4 C in 2% FBS in PBS with 2mM EDTA

Blocking Agent

Human TruStain FcX (Biolegend)

Secondary Incubation

N/A

Tertiary Incubation

Detection

355nm laser on BD LSRII

Results Summary

CD14+ cells in human peripheral blood were found to be at a frequency ranging between 20-40% depending on the donor. Magnetic bead enrichment of the CD14+ cells lead to ~85-90% enrichment.
