The aim of our research is to elucidate the role of proteins in certain pathologies including cancer and autism. We are using this product to help IHC stain mouse brain sections with Tbr2 and Chd8 antibodies. The lab selected this product because of its ease of use and consistent results.

Protocol Overview

1. Shake antigen unmasking stock solution well before use2. Boil diluted unmasking sol’n (1.875 ml of antigen sol’n in 200 ml water)3. Place slides with sectioned tissue in boiling sol’n for 20 min (make sure vol is constant)4. Let slides cool in unmasking sol’n for 20 min5. Wash 3x with 1x PBS for 5 min each

Tips

It is important to use a slide holder in order to readily take out slides after exactly 20 minutes of boiling.

Results Summary

The staining worked well. It showed consistent staining localization across multiple sections and slides.
