Our general aim was to study how C2C12 myoblast behave within different hydrogels in terms of viability, apoptosis and membrane integrity.Our specific goal was to determine the membrane integrity of C2C12 myoblasts after embbedding them within different hydrogels and assessing no differences were detected. LDH reléase has been related by other authors as indicator of cell integrity. It is easy to use and provides a clear indication of cell membrane integrity.

It is easy to follow the manufacturer indications. The assay needs 24 hours to measure the LDH inside the cells and the LDH released by the cells.
