In the present study, male rats of one month age were artificially induced to type-2 diabetes with prolonged high fructose diet followed by small dose of streptozotocin. After induction of type-2 diabetes, rats were kept in different treatments for 2 months, sacrificed and kidneys were harvested. Proteins were extracted from tissues and resolved in 12% SDS-PAGE followed by immunoblotting with abcam FGF-2 primary antibody and HRP-conjugated anti-species secondary antibody. Selection of antibody was based on information provided in antibody flyer.

A very specific bright band of FGF-2 protein was observed at 22 KDa. There were no or very little non- specific signals observed.
