This review is for the autoMACS Pro, which has been discontinued and replaced by the autoMACS Neo.
Our lab routinely separated different cell populations from human PBMCs (CD8, CD4, CD56...).
I always separate the sample in 5 15ml conical tubes (no matter the starting cell number). I get a better yield that way.
Automatic, fast
Breaks a lot
Fast and saves some time that you can spend doing other things. But breaks down a lot so not necessarily worth the money.
