Company:

Invitrogen Antibodies by Thermo Fisher Scientific

Product Name:

Phospholamban (2D12)

Catalog Number:

MA3-922

Purpose: visualize monomeric PLN content on PVDF membranes. Methods: 30 ug of soleus homogenate protein were electrophoretically separated using tricine-based SDS PAGE (13% total acrylamide) and then transferred onto PVDF membranes. PLN antibody (1:2000) was used to detect monomeric PLN (~8 kDa). Can also be used to visualize pentameric (25 kDa) if samples are not boiled prior to electrophoresis.

Summary

The Good

Reliably detects monomeric protein

The Bad

A non-specific band above the pentameric band (25 kDa) can be observed.

The Bottom Line
