One of our experiments involve the mixing of epithelial cells with a monocytic cell line (THP-1) in order to test their response. However, when the cells are harvested, there needs to be a marker that can distinguish the monocytes from epithelial cells. CD11a is a very good candidate.

The results show clear positive THP-1 cells (red) compared to isotype control (blue).
