I am working on the development of molecular techniques for the detection of bacteria in the environmental samples. The PowerFecal® DNA Isolation Kit was used in extraction of total DNA from samples collected from wastewater treatment plants.

Protocol mentioned is easy and quick to perform.
Do not add starting material more than 0.25 grams per prep and try to remove residual Solution C5 completely.
Quality of DNA obtained was good.

Overall a good kit for fast and easy DNA extraction from complex matrices like fecal samples or biosolids
