Our lab uses a humanized mouse model generated by the intrasplenic injection of human PBMC with HIV-1 into NSG mice to test the in vivo efficacy of novel antibodies and immune activators against HIV. We perform FACS analysis to detect the different cell populations in the mouse spleens, and particularly stain for CD4 T cells, which are the target of HIV. This antibody is very useful as it comes in a color that fits in our current antibody panel.
