Albumin (BROMOCERSOL GREEN)
12547
Albumin is a protein synthesized in the liver. It is one of the most abundant proteins in your blood. Albumin also carries vital nutrients and hormones, and provides the proteins it needs to maintain growth and repair tissue. A serum albumin test measures the amount of albumin in the blood. Abnormal serum albumin levels may indicate functional assessment of kidneys or liver.
To assess the function of kidney
Fresh SD rat plasma samples.
Plasma was collected in 4ml heparin tubes. For the assay 1ml reagent was taken in test tubes to that added 10µl of standard/sample. Vortexed the test tubes and kept it for 10 min at RT. Taken the absorbance at 500nm.
Use standard which it provided in the kit.
Observed decreased levels of albumin in plasma samples with compared control samples.
