Purified CD8a+ cells have been used for in vitro and in vivo studies on protective immune responses against parasites or allergens and for adoptive transfer into immunodeficient and virus-infected mice.6 Highly pure CD8+ T cells were also isolated from the CNS of MHV-infected mice for evaluation of their chemokine expression pattern. Furthermore, CD8a MicroBeads have been used for the isolation of CD8+CD4+ (DP) thymocytes and the effect of PD-1 expression on their maturation was studied.
