The general aim of my research is to gain insights into male to female HIV transmission. My specific interests are to see where in the tissue the virus goes and what target cells are accessible to the virus. I used this specific antibody as I had previous success with Abcam antibodies for western blot applications.

Results Summary

When probing with mCherry Ab there are 3 visible bands: one stronger at~27kDA (mCherry alone), one weaker band just under 50kDa (mCherry and the fusion peptide added to it) and one even weaker band that could be protein degradation.

The Bottom Line

This antibody was very easy to use and produced a clear and reliable signal. While other rabbit antibodies tend to have some nonspecific background this product did not have any. I recommend this product to others trying to detect mCherry protein.
