Very Easy to Break

We bought the whole set of 12 channels rainin Pipet-Lite XLS (1-10, 5-50, 20-300 and 100-1200). These pipettes substituted the older (and much better quality Rainin pipettes). At this point after not much use we already broke these pipettes twice. The problem is the ejection mechanism based on a little plastic rod inside the pipette. The rod breaks extremely easily and once it is broken the only think to do is to send it back to the company. Therefore if you are thinking of buying these pipettes keep a warranty at hand because you will need it. Also the pipettes now have Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) chips that for us (a pretty big research lab) was completely useless.
