This kit was used to detect G-CSF in murine lung homogenate and serum (after G-CSF treatment).

Murine lung homogenate supernatant or serum
Lungs from Mtb infected mice were homogenized in 5mL PBS-T. Homogenate was aliquoted and spun down at max speed, and the supernatant was filtered through a 0.2um PVDF filter. Sample was diluted 1:3 in the appropriate buffer as per product guidelines.
May need to dilute sample to get within the standard curve.
Reliable and consistent. Need to use 100uL of sample - this was very easy for lung homogenate, but for serum I typically use a multiplex assay for serum because I don't have mLs to assay. But, I've also used this kit for serum - with samples where I don't need to look at a large variety of cytokines.
