Please note that this review is for the Model 750 Advanced Stirrers (Digital Control), as there are several other models available. We use this system for stirring chemical reactions for long periods of time. We make gold nanoparticles for PET imaging, which requires constant stirring. We chose this product because many of these systems are very expensive, yet VWR provided an excellent price as compared to other companies.

Make sure to turn the stirring speed up slowly as it takes a couple of seconds to respond.

The Bottom Line

This is a great multi-position stirrer for any lab. If you have a lot of samples that need to be stirred at the same, you should consider this instrument. We have four of them in the lab and it really helps out with productivity.
