Thymocytes were stained for injection into the peritoneal cavity of mice. To be compatible with our previously designed flow panel a violet laser dye was selected.

Cells were incubated with 5uM CellTracker Violet in PBS @ 37*C for 20 minutes. Reaction was quenched with media containing FBS.

Very bright staining of thymocytes in the Violet laser 525/50 filter.
Staining is time and concentration dependent so it's very easy to optimize.
More expensive compared to other CellTracker dyes
A great dye for in vivo cell tracking if you have an opening on the violet laser.
