The goal of these studies were to identify different immune populations in the peritoneal cavity following injection with heat-killed E. coli. This antibody was purchased because it was one of the few Siglec-F antibodies available at the time (more colors and clones have since become available).

Results Summary

Eosinophil infiltration can be seen following heat-killed E. Coli injection into the peritoneal cavity of mice. Siglec-F-PE from BD Pharmingen, in combination with CD11b made identification of these cells simple with no ambiguity.

The Bottom Line

This antibody/clone works well. Recently BD Pharmingen has begun conjugating this antibody to more exotic colors making it a great antibody to add to multi-color panels for identification of Siglec-F+ cells.
