Being a molecular biologist, I often use gel electrophoresis to compare the size of amplicons. Here, I am showing the amplification of Ampicillin resistance marker from the target expressing clones. This ladder works great and is easily available. Based on my experience, I am fond of NEB enzymes and ladders.

I loaded 5 microlitres of NEB ladder (100 bp) and 20 microlitres of PCR products.
Thaw the ladder properly before loading.
Most of the clones screened revealed ampicillin resistance gene expression hence there is confirmed transformation.
