I generally use beta-Actin for loading in western blotting. Cell Signaling's antibody is good but it has a long incubation time in contrast to Santa Cruz's antibody. Although both give the same quality of signals, Santa Cruz's is quick and easy.

Whole cell lysate
Incubate membrane with diluted primary antibody in 5% w/v BSA, 1X TBS, 0.1% Tween® 20 at 4°C with gentle shaking, overnight.
5% non fat milk for an hour at RT
