This container is used to freeze down cell lines at -1 degree Celsius per minute, which helps with increasing cell viability. These do not require alcohol to freeze like other devices. The container is easy to load with tubes, and after freezing it is easy to open.
Cell Freezing

Place cells into CoolCell and then place in the freezer.
Place lid on tight
The cells frozen in the container have good viability upon thawing.
Freeze rate of -1 Celcius / min., difficult to break, not frozen to the touch
