Company:

Applied Biosystems

Product Name:

RNase Inhibitor

Catalog Number:

N8080119

The objective of the experiment was to synthesize cDNA from RNA which was isolated from liver tissue by TRIZOL method.

Experimental Design and Results Summary

Application

cDNA synthesis

Starting Material

Total RNA dissolved in nuclease free water

Protocol Overview

Total RNA obtained after the TRIZOL method was used for cDNA synthesis. To the master mix (containing nuclease-free H2O, buffer, primers, dNTP mix and reverse transcriptase), 1 μL of RNase Inhibitor was mixed along with the RNA sample. The contents were mixed properly and incubated in a thermocycler at 25°C for 10 min, 37°C for 120 min, 85°C for 5 min and 4°C for infinity. The reverse transcription product (cDNA) were used for downstream applications or stored at -20˚C.
