Tips

Repeat step 7 if the yield is less, add sufficient amount of RNase free water to minimize the over dilution of RNA in step 7, Store the RNA in -80 C after step 7.

Results Summary

RNA yield is coming at a maximum of 300ng/ul with desired range of 260/280 and 260/230 values in nanodrop reading.

Additional Notes

Store the kit in Room temperature, perform the purification in sterilized conditions to minimize contamination.

Summary

The Good

High RNA purity and can get enough RNA from smaller sample also.

The Bad

Compared to Trizol method, it is highly costly and yield is relatively low compared to trizol method.

The Bottom Line

One can opt to use it for experiments with high purity RNA (eg: microarray etc) or purifying from a small amount of sample.
