Our longstanding goal is to understand the role of cancer-causing proteins and to elucidate the mechanism of tumorigenesis. Here we test the detection of asporin protein in different osteosarcoma cell lines using Western blotting and from the data it can be seen that the cells do express asporin, however given the polyclonal nature of the antibody, there seems to be other bands that may be non-specific. Overall this is a good antibody to detect using Western blotting, however the specificity needs to be further tested.
