I use this kit to transfect HEK293T cells in the lab when making virus. I like this kit because I can achieve 90+% transfection with a variety of different plasmids and it is easy to use.
Transfection
HEK293T cells
Mix the calcium, water, and your plasmid together. Then add HEPES buffer drop-wise to the solution.
Let solution sit for a few minutes prior to adding it to cells.
The cells usually have very good transfection efficiency (75% + transfected) as measured by quantifying number of cells expressing flourescent protein.
