I perform a lot of cloning in the lab and use this kit to isolate plasmid DNA from bacteria. I like using this kit because it is pretty easy to use and quick. The DNA yield is good and successfully used with downstream applications such as cloning. It is also a little cheaper than other kits to my knowledge.
Plasmid Isolation
None
Grow 50 ml LB + bacteria overnight. Spin down bacteria to a pellet. Follow midiprep protocol and isolate DNA

The kit yields hundreds of nanograms per microliter concentration of plasmid DNA with good spec. readings
