Our lab's longstanding goal is to unravel new protein biomarkers in cancer and elucidate their functional role in tumorigenesis. In this study we evaluate the expression of NKp46 protein, a well known immunology protein that is involved in the activation of NK cells, in prostate cancer tissue using this antibody. From the results it can be seen that this antibody detects NKp46 protein in the stromal compartment of the cells (brown) using DAB staining. This antibody is good to stain cells in the immune compartment for Nkp46 receptor presence.

IX81 microscope
DAB staining (brown) is visible in the stromal compartment of the tissue indicating a positive staining for the immune NK cells.
