Growth and maintenance of C. elegans

We use the bacteriological agar in our plate pouring protocol. The agar, along with sodium chloride and bacteriological peptide, are weighed out and added to an appropriate amount of sterile distilled water. The agar mixture is then autoclaved, cooled, and poured into 6cm plates.
This reagent is pretty straight forward in its use.
