The purpose of my study was to stain microglia within the substantia nigra to look for reactivity. I used this primary antibody to stain CD11b positive cells within this region.
Immunohistochemistry
Midbrain sections
1:500 in 2% NRS, overnight at 4C
NRS
Biotinylated rabbit anti-rat IgG diluted 1:200 in PBS
ABC Elite for 1 hour
DAB peroxidase color generation
The use of this primary antibody allowed significant staining of CD11b+ microglia within my brain slices. I recommend its use for this purpose. There was no non-specific staining, and the protocol for use of the product was easy to follow.
