My research focuses on T cell based immunotherapy. For this, I regularly activate and expand primary T cells from PBMCs. Anti-CD3 antibody is a very potent tool to activate T cells (in conjunction with Anti-CD28), in a non-antigen specific manner.

When the antibody was used in conjunction with IL-2 and anti-CD28 antibody, ~90% of the cells at day 7 were CD3+ T cells. A similar enrichment of T cells is also obtained by using just anti-CD3 and IL-2.These results show that anti-CD3 antibody from eBiosciences is highly effective at selectively expanding CD3+ T cells from PBMCs.
