Epithelial to Mesenchimal Transcription (EMT) is a cellular process in which cells transform their phenotype into a more fibroblast-like one.
Snail1 protein has been described as the critical player for start the process.
Lef1 gene is downstream Snail1, and their expression is upregulated upon EMT process. Detection of this protein can lead us to detect the stage of the process in that import cellular process.
