Conditional KO mouse is a very useful tool to analyze gen and protein function in vivo.Tamoxifen is one of the most usual methods to induces Cre expression to knockdown gen expression. One of the problems of the technique is the ability of tamoxifen mollecule to reach to all the somatic cells of the mice. Co-expression of b-Gal under Tamoxifen promoter allow us to determine which cell has delete our gene of interest.
