Need to measure total ATP in your cell cultures......well look no further this kit is great. Reproducible results and very simple to use. This luciferase driven ATP assay kit contains the lysis buffer that can be added directly to the cells in culture medium. Works great with all types of cells.
ATP assay
Seeded murine embryonic fibroblast cells the day before and next day changed the medium +/- stimuli. Prepared ATP reagent by dissolving lyophilized substrate in buffer provided. Added directly to cells in culture and mixed for 2 mins on rocker. Readings were done on a luminometer 30mins later.
I wouls recommend seeding cells in white tissue culture plates to avoid additional transfer of cells to another plate for readings.
Two cell populations were test for total ATP production. Results were plotted as % from control (cell viability). Cells were seeded in a 96- well white bottom plate and the same plate was read on the luminometer.
Fast and no real optimiaztion required. One step lysis and read available.
A bit expensive but reproducibilty is high.
Extremely convenient assay to measure ATP production in various cell lines.
