Rheometers / Viscometers

A Rheometer measures how a suspension flows when varying force is applied or the rheology of a fluid. A Viscometer measures the viscosity of a fluid. Some applications that utilize rheometers and viscometers include food and beverage testing, chemical industries, cosmetics industries, petroleum industries and many other research and development industries. There are a variety of rheometers/ viscometers on the market; types include cone and plate, rotational, vibrational, capillary format, falling or rolling sphere and falling or rolling oscillating piston. Some features to consider when selecting a rheometer/ viscometer are intended application, analyzing method, resolution and torque, sample size/ plate format and compatibility with other systems. It is important to select a rheometer/ viscometer that will best comply with your intended application.
